aDictaphone is an application to record, edit and play dictations. Recording can be voice activated. You can truncate, append to or insert into existing dictations. You can also send dictations by mail (including secure email - S/MIME) or upload them by FTP or FTPS.
The record button always inserts and never overwrites an existing recording. However, you can truncate the recording, if necessary. You will be warned before any recording is actually discarded.
You can add information such as journal-id and comments to a dictation, and you can send your dictation including the additional information details to an Olympus DSS Player Pro Transcription Module, and get author-id and comments directly into the Olympus DSS Player Pro Transcription Module. This gives your staff the opportunity to get these information, without having to listen to the recordings first. A XML-file containing the dictation details can be included in emails and uploads.
There is no passcode until changed.
On our website you can find a short description on how to set up the Olympus DSS Player Pro Transcription Module.
You can import dictations and additional information into an Olympus DSS Player PRO Transcription Module if you record into WAVE-files (*.wav) or AIFF-files (*.aiff).
